Read with optional memory off, or choose to remember your place on this device.
The optional reading feature records article positions only after acceptance. It is not a login to Real, and it does not store client records or send reading positions to an external service.

Storage inventory
Reading-feature storage
- apj_privacy_v1 · first-party cookie
- Records preference version, reading choice and timestamp after a deliberate saved choice. Maximum 180 days, scoped to this website path. A later choice replaces it; browser site-data controls can remove it.
- apj_reading_v1 · localStorage
- Optional article paths, reading positions and timestamps. Initialized only after reading-position consent, including an empty record on non-article pages. Entries at least 180 days old are ignored when read. Expired entries are removed on the next saved reading-position write, where browser access permits; each such write saves at most 30 records. Reading alone does not rewrite localStorage. Rejecting or disabling the option attempts to remove the record. Unused localStorage may remain until a later saved reading-position write, rejection or removal through browser controls.
Other website technologies
The publication reading controls do not include analytics, advertising tags or third-party media players. Other WordPress plugins, embedded content and hosting services can operate separately. Reading-preference controls govern only the reading feature; they do not control those services or establish a complete inventory of the website.
WordPress sign-in and administration may use separate authentication cookies for signed-in users. These reading controls do not remove authentication cookies, email, server logs or records at linked websites. This list describes reading-feature storage and any additional details the publisher has supplied.
Equal choices
The notice gives Accept optional, Reject optional and Settings equal visual treatment. Optional memory stays off until selected. Rejecting or withdrawing removes this publication’s optional reading records. It does not remove data created by other websites, browser extensions or unrelated software.
When storage is unavailable
If the browser cannot save the preference, optional memory remains off. The articles and publication search remain usable. Private browsing or clearing browser storage may remove the preference and cause the notice to appear again.
Scope
The controls apply to the reading feature described here, not external services or WordPress administrator sessions. See Privacy for website delivery, search and correspondence.
